Is It Worth Going Into Business For Yourself?

Have you ever heard someone say:

• “You’re never going to succeed, only lucky people do..!”⁣
• “Why would you throw away the security of a job?”⁣
• “What if you don’t make it?”⁣
• “What happens when you get older?”⁣
• “What about your degree?”⁣
• “How will you pay your bills?”⁣
• “Do you think it’s worth it?”⁣

⁣The above questions and thoughts are all things I was asked when I started to tell people about my dreams of becoming a biz owner. I received a question like one of those in Every. Single. Conversation.! People in my own family questioned my decisions.⁣ My friends were actually concerned! My boyfriend thought I was crazy. People messaged me on IG warning me that I just should stop!

All of this doubt and all of these questions started to build and build until I was questioning myself. I had all of the fear of judgement popping up in my head daily! It was scary! I was thinking about building a business on my own, and everyone who I needed support from was more scared for me than excited. Suddenly, everything came down to this:

Would it be worth it?

I knew this journey would be scary, full of uncertainty. I knew I would have to do a lot of this alone and I wouldn’t know all of the answers. It would be overwhelming, and was I sure I could make the best decisions for my success? Could I guarantee my success? With all of this swirling around in my head, I knew I had two choices. I could give up my dream and just continue on my current path of life that I knew wasn’t enough, OR I could do the damn thing!

I did the thing (and it was all worth it).⁣

Nothing in life is guaranteed, not even tomorrow! So, forget the naysayers and start listening to your heart! If you’re tired of the path you’re on, do something about it! If you have something to share, someone to impact, and somewhere to do so - DO IT! I went from knowing NOTHING, feeling lost, overwhelmed, and confused, with barely any support to helping over 2,000 women inside of my coaching and courses. I went from that feeling of doubt to feeling pretty damn proud.
